Soldiers walk along a rocky beach by the ocean.

If you’re not listening to the guy on the beach, you’re building the wrong system.

Too many product strategies are still built backwards from boardroom to blueprint.

In defence and tactical markets, the only way to build relevant gear is by sitting down with the end-users.

I lead the development of next-gen dive and rescue systems and I don’t start with specs.
I started with a question directly to the end-users:

“What’s letting you down right now?”

We hold debriefs directly in the hangars.
We test kit in real world scenarios, like flooded quarries.
We make field calls on what should go in the next R&D cycle not just what could.

That’s how real innovation happens.

✅ Voice of the operator, not just the client
✅ Trials in mission-mimicking environments
✅ Feedback loop that shape your roadmap

Because if your gear isn’t solving their problem, it doesn’t matter how well it solves yours.
